On June 4 – 5, 2026, the SAND5G Project consortium gathered in Athens, for a face-to-face technical meeting hosted by Sphynx. The two-day event brought together project partners to review progress, assess key performance indicators (KPIs), and advance the implementation and demonstration of the project’s use cases.

As the project moves closer to deployment in operational environments, the meeting served as an important opportunity to align technical developments with validation activities and discuss the next steps toward project objectives.  The meeting also included planning activities focused on upcoming milestones and future consortium meetings.

The Athens technical meeting marked another important step in the validation of the SAND5G platform. Through the continued refinement of technical KPIs and the evaluation of multi-partner use cases, the consortium is working to ensure that the project’s risk and impact assessment tools meet the needs of European 5G operators, vertical industries, and regulatory authorities.
