On Friday, March 13th, the SAND5G Project consortium held a pivotal plenary meeting in Athens, hosted by the National Cybersecurity Authority of Greece (Εθνική Αρχή Κυβερνοασφάλειας – ΕΑΚ).
As 5G networks become the backbone of Europe’s digital economy, collaboration between technical innovators and national regulatory authorities is more important than ever. During the meeting, consortium partners focused on three main areas:
- Operationalizing the EU 5G Toolbox: Aligning the project’s risk-assessment platform with the strategic priorities and operational needs of national authorities.
- Regulatory Oversight: Examining how the SAND5G solution can help regulators monitor and enhance the security of critical infrastructures.
- National Strategy Alignment: Exploring ways to integrate project outcomes with Greece’s national cybersecurity strategy to strengthen the digital ecosystem.
The consortium thanked the NCSA team for their hospitality and for leading a productive discussion that bridged the gap between policy and technological innovation.
